Dutch to English Translation

I have considerable experience with Dutch to English translation and pride myself on providing top-notch texts in the target language. There’s nothing worse than trying to read an English-language text that has clearly been translated from Dutch, using odd tenses and phrasing. I aim to produce a translation that reads as if it had been written in English in the first place, free of jargon and ‘Dunglish’. Translation is an art, not a science: I work closely with clients to ensure that the ‘voice’ of the target text is what they had in mind. And, of course, I never miss a deadline.

Translations are billed on the basis of a fee per word.  I specialise in science and sustainability issues, history and social history, art and architecture, but also have broad experience in marketing and market research, and the real estate industry.  For subjects that are not within my area of expertise, I am happy to refer you to a colleague who can help.

For a detailed quote, please contact me with a sample of the text, the length of the final text (number of words) and the date that the translation is required.

I use Wordfast for most translations, and am also familiar with Trados.
